The much awaited UPSC notification 2016 is out, and there are no changes in any matter compared to last year vacancies are  approximately 1079, download the notification for IFOS and CSE .

Candidates are required to apply Online by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above mentioned website.Read the instructions and all details very carefully before filling the form . 

Syllabus :

CSAT Paper I – (200 marks) 2 hours this is General Studies Paper

  • Current events of national and international importance.
  • History of India and Indian National Movement.
  • Indian and World Geography -Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
  • Indian Polity and Governance -Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
  • Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
  • General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialisation
  • General Science.
Note: Prelims paper 2 is qualifying at 33% fixed  and total qualifying marks of General Studies Paper-I of Civil Services (Preliminary) will be taken in to account for cutoff.

CSAT Paper II- (200 marks) 2 hours CSAT Paper. 

  • Comprehension
  • Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
  • Logical reasoning and analytically ability
  • Decision-making and problem solving
  • General mental ability
  • Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level)

Few highlights of the notification:

  • Date of Tier 1 Examination:  8 th & 22nd May, 2016 
  • Probable dates for CGL Tier -2 Exam are 13.08.2016 (Saturday) & 14.08.2016 (Sunday).
  • Assistant CSS is renamed as Assistant Section Officer with GP 4600 & Age (20-30 Years)
  • New post of Assistant Audit Officer (Gazetted post with GP -4800) is recommended which is subject to final approval
  • No Direct Recruitment of STA, Sr. Auditor or Sr. Accountant for SSC CGL 2016.
  • Candidates selected for appointment are liable to serve anywhere in India i.e. all these posts carry All India Service Liability (AISL).
  • Vacancies will be intimated in due course.
  • Age limit will be reckoned as on 1st August, 2016.
  • Essential Qualifications will be reckoned as on 1st August, 2016
  • Interview component has been dispensed with. There will, therefore, be no interview
  • Scheme of Examination is same as in previous years. With Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 (CPT/DEST/Document Verification).
  • No Change in Syllabus.
  • The Commission reserves the right to make changes in the scheme of examination such as conduct of Tier-I and Tier-II examination in computer based mode, treating Tier-I examination as only qualifying etc.
  • Paper IV General Studies (Finance and Economics)in Tier 2 may be introduced for AAO Post.
  • OMR Answer Sheet to be filled with Black Ball Pen only.

Apply online : UPSC online http://www.upsconline.nic.in 

Application dates: The  online  Applications  can  be  filled from  23rd May, 2015 up  to  19th  June,  2015

Date of exam : 23rd August, 2015.

Fee : Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only)

Number of attempts :

Every candidate appearing at theexamination who is otherwise eligible,shall be permitted six attempts at the examination.

Notwithstanding anything contained in this rule, any candidate who appeared in the Civil Services Examination, 2011 but is otherwise ineligible for Civil Services Examination, 2015 due to completion of the number of attempts available for examination under this rule,shall be permitted an additional attempt in the Civil Services Examination, 2015.

Minimum Educational Qualifications : The candidate must hold a degree .

CSAT : 

The Commission will draw a list of candidates to be qualified for Civil Service (Main) Examination based on
the criterion of minimum qualifying marks of 33% in General Studies Paper-II of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and total qualifying marks of General Studies Paper-I of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination as may be determined by the Commission.

SSC CGL 2015 Notification out

The Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC CGL 2015 Notification. You can apply online from 2nd May 2015 to 28th May 2015. The SSC will hold the Combined Graduate Level Exam (Tier I) on 9th August 2015 and 16th August 2015.

Application Fee :

IBPS Changed Pattern with Mains Examination.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the Calender with Tentative Dates of IBPS Exams (POV, Clerks V, Specialist Officers V and Regional Rural Banks IV) for the year 2015-16.

According to this notification, the IBPS Online Exams for IBPS PO V and Clerks V will be held it two stages prelims and Mains

It has been decided by the competent authority to hold two-tier examinations for recruitment of PO/MT and Clerks from CWE-V onwards. All the candidates who successfully register themselves under CWE PO/MT-V and CWE CLERK-V will be called for Preliminary Examinations. Based on the performance in the preliminary examination, certain number of candidates will be shortlisted for each of these examinations. The short listed candidates will then be called for Main Examinations. There will be fewer number of questions in the Preliminary Examination with shorter duration. The details with regard to both the Preliminary and Main examinations will be made available on IBPS website through the detailed notifications in due course.
